The CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) is now allowing group authorizations, eliminating the need to submit separate authorization forms for each employee. With the new GroupID feature, you are now able to authorize your group of employees with a group identifier.

What this means for you:

  • You can authorize a group of employees, for example, your payroll department, on a single RC59, Business Consent Form.
  • New authorization forms are not required when an employee joins or leaves your organization.
  • The administrator, for example the manager of your accounting department, can add or remove employee access without completing more paperwork.

See Frequently Asked Questions at for more information. To learn more about how you can cut your paperwork and authorize a group, contact your Smythe Ratcliffe advisor today.
