It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of one of our founding partners, Norm Ratcliffe. Norm passed away April 9, 2015 at the age of 85.
As a founding partner, Norm was one of six entrepreneurs who established Smythe Ratcliffe in 1980, achieving their goal of building a firm dedicated to providing exemplary accounting services, while focusing on forming strong relationships with their clients. Throughout his career, Norm consistently exemplified the values of committed, quality service and loyal client relationships, and set the standard for effective leadership and family culture within Smythe Ratcliffe.
Larry Vicic, managing partner at Smythe Ratcliffe, expresses “We all owe Norm a great deal of gratitude, as without his contribution to the firm back in 1980, Smythe Ratcliffe wouldn’t be the legacy firm that it is today. We send our deepest condolences to the entire Ratcliffe family.”
Norm will be greatly missed, but his legacy, outstanding leadership and passion towards the firm will forever be engraved.
Norm is survived by his wife of 60 years, Audrey, and their children John and Hollie.
