Gagan Ahluwalia

Gagan is a Partner in Smythe’s M&A Advisory and Business Valuations team, where he advises privately held businesses on ownership transitions, including divestitures, management buyouts, acquisitions, and capital raising.

With extensive experience in the insurance distribution sector and across diverse industries, Gagan has advised on transactions totalling more than $800 million in recent years. His work reflects a commitment to guiding business owners through critical decisions with clarity, precision, and long-term vision, helping them navigate complex processes to plan for and achieve their strategic objectives.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia and obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2016, followed by his Chartered Business Valuator designation in 2019.

In the community, Gagan serves as a Board Member of the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.

Outside of work, he enjoys basketball, touch football, travelling, and spending time with his young family.
