Our mergers & acquisitions specialists are experts at planning and executing successful divestiture transactions. We have both the required market knowledge and relationships with investors and underwriters, which helps ensure our clients achieve their desired results.

Our advisory group includes seven designated Chartered Business Valuators (CBVs), all of whom have experience in providing Expert Opinion Reports specifically related to the Canadian P&C insurance industry. Our reports have been used in shareholder disputes, merger negotiations, matrimonial litigations, damage quantifications and income tax reorganizations, among many others.

Our longevity in the industry, along with our proprietary database, allows us to help brokerages and MGAs understand what results are possible and create the systems and structures that allow clients to improve profitability and, ultimately, shareholder value.

We produce an industry report on a semi-annual basis that summarizes industry results and issues, the benchmark component of which is a trusted resource that industry participants in both Canada and the US rely on.

We regularly work with clients to finance acquisitions, allow for shareholder succession, design employee shares ownership plans (ESOPs) or restructure the balance sheet. Our analysis and resulting reports have been relied on by many stakeholders, including the boards of various companies, financial institutions and underwriters.
