Christine Montemayor

As part of Smythe’s Cross-Border and US Tax team, Christine primarily works with individuals who live on both sides of the US-Canada border, including American citizens living in Canada and migrants from both countries. She is also involved in tax filings under the Streamlined Filing Compliance Procedures for delinquent U.S. taxpayers, ensuring clients meet their cross-border filing obligations with accuracy and care. Within Smythe, Christine is actively involved in training co-op students, new hires, and staff, supporting knowledge development across the team. 

Christine joined Smythe in 2019 after completing her undergraduate degree, passed the CFE in 2022, and earned her CPA designation in 2023. 

Outside of work, Christine maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys hiking and taking barre classes.
