David Keyworth

Primarily based in Langley, BC, David’s expertise covers a wide array of industries, including industrial, manufacturing, aviation and education. He strongly believes in establishing open and collaborative relationships with clients and designing innovative solutions to the unique challenges each business faces. David has over 28 years of experience working with private companies and their owners. Over this time, he has gained invaluable knowledge and experience with various audit, taxation and advisory matters.

Prior to joining Smythe, David was the Professional Practice Director at a multinational firm from 2017 to 2021, where he oversaw the quality of audit services provided to private clients throughout western Canada. He has deep expertise in ASPE complex accounting and technical issues and finding unique solutions for clients.

Outside work, David enjoys spending time with his wife and two teenagers, as well as traveling, bike riding and hiking.
