Aliya Goldan
Aliya is a Partner at Smythe and a member of the firm’s Canadian Tax Group, specializing in Canadian tax services for privately held businesses and individuals. She provides income tax planning and compliance support to corporations and their shareholders. Aliya also advises on estate and trust planning, helping clients navigate complex personal and intergenerational tax matters. She joined the partnership in 2024, bringing over a decade of experience in tax advisory.
Aliya earned her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation in 2011 and completed the In-Depth Tax Program through the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia. She is also a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.

- Structured the sale of a business to a foreign entity with an estimated transaction value of $130 million, including post-sale tax planning for the vendors
