Karen Cheng

Karen is a Partner in Smythe’s Accounting & Assurance Group, working with privately held businesses and public companies. She provides accounting, assurance, and advisory services across a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on technology, pension and benefit plans, manufacturing, and mining and exploration. Within Smythe, Karen is an active member of the Training Committee and the Pension and Benefit Plans Niche Group, where she contributes to advancing professional development and technical excellence across the Firm. 

Karen graduated from the University of Toronto in 2013 with a Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in accounting. She joined Smythe that same year and earned her CPA designation in 2016. 

Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time by a lake and travelling to sunny and remote destinations.
