Hervé Leong-Chung

Herve provides audit, assurance and accounting services to public and privately held businesses. He specializes in a variety of industries including, exploration mining, mortgage investment corporations, technology and life sciences. At Smythe, he leads the CPA education program and training for technical and development topics. He is also a coach to other managers and a member of the executive committee. He is also looking to expand Smythe’s knowledge of environmental, social and governance matters.

Herve was born in Mauritius and moved to London, England where he completed all his schooling including his undergraduate degree from the University of Manchester, and obtained his CPA designation. He has been in Canada since 1990 and obtained his Canadian CPA designation in 2000. Before joining Smythe in 2009, he worked at multiple accounting firms in England, Singapore, Hong Kong and Vancouver.

He is the board chair for a Catholic high school for girls. When Herve is not working, he enjoys, travelling, playing pickleball and staying fit.
