Compilation Engagement Portal

The Compilation Engagement Portal is a secure way of uploading, submitting and reviewing your documents. This portal has been designed to streamline the process of sharing and accessing your financial information in a secure environment that you can access anytime.

Frequently Asked Questions

To enroll in the portal, you should have received an email with a registration link. If you did not receive this email, or can’t find it, reach out to your Smythe admin, or a member of your engagement team, and they will assist you in the generation of your login credentials. 

Our Tax Portal currently operates as a separate digital service, hosted by CCH iFirm. Visit our Tax Hub for more information.

If you are experiencing technical issues with the portal, please email portaladmin@smythecpa.com for support. If your question is about your compilation engagement generally, your Smythe advisor, or a member of your engagement team, would be pleased to help. 

When you view your documents in the “Your Submissions” tab of the portal, they will have one of the following statuses: 

  • Pending – your document has been submitted, but has not yet been reviewed and approved by your engagement team 
  • Rejected – your document has been reviewed by your engagement team, and there has been an issue detected. The reason for rejection and steps needed to fix and re-submit will appear on the same page.  
  • Submitted – Your document has been reviewed and approved by your engagement team  

Not to worry. If you receive a notification that your document was rejected, it could be because: 

  • File is not in the correct format 
  • The file is corrupt or will not open 
  • The file is incomplete 
  • The requested file is missing 

Instructions about how to fix your document before re-uploading will be visible on the submissions tab in the portal.

The creation of your compilation engagement is performed by your team of experts, including all the manual review procedures to adhere to our quality standards. Your engagement team will reach out to you when they are ready to begin finalizing your compilation engagement.
