Smythe Announces Advisory Group Promotions
VANCOUVER, BC, January 6, 2025 – Smythe LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of two members of its Advisory Group, effective January 1, 2026.
Javier Tam-Huang, CBV, has been promoted to Principal – Valuations. Javier joined Smythe in 2020 and brings 10 years of experience providing business valuation and advisory services to privately held businesses, individuals, and legal professionals. He specializes in valuations for property and casualty (P&C) insurance brokerages and has supported clients on mergers and acquisitions, tax reorganizations, management buyouts, succession planning, and litigation support engagements.
Mohammad Sheikhzadeh, CBV, has been promoted to Manager – M&A. Mohammad joined Smythe in 2022 and provides transaction advisory services to privately held and family-owned businesses. He specializes in sell-side and buy-side transactions and corporate finance advisory, supporting clients through mergers, acquisitions, and exit planning. Mohammad has extensive experience in the property and casualty (P&C) insurance brokerage sector and has advised on more than eight transactions in this space, as well as engagements within the manufacturing, distribution, and food and beverage sectors.
