Smythe Announces the Promotion of Multiple Managers
VANCOUVER, BC – Smythe LLP (Smythe) is pleased to announce the promotion of 12 managers across all three of our office locations – Vancouver, Langley and Nanaimo.
Our new senior managers:
Kristine Del Rosario, joined Smythe in 2016 and has extensive experience providing assurance and advisory services to both not-for-profit organizations and public companies in various industries, including retail, mining and oil and gas. She is heavily involved in the not-for-profit industry group and is also a member of the standards committee.
William Tam, CPA, CA, CBV, joined Smythe Advisory in 2014 and provides valuation and advisory services to owner-managed businesses, with a focus on litigation support, financial modelling and valuation for financial reporting purposes.
Our new managers:
Shannon Beers, CPA, joined the Firm in 2015 and obtained her CPA designation in 2018. Shannon is primarily focused on providing accounting, assurance and advisory services to not-for-profit organizations and private companies.
Edwina Cai, CPA, joined Smythe in January 2015 and is primarily focused on providing accounting, assurance and tax services to not-for-profit organizations and private companies across various industries, including agriculture, hospitality and benefit plans. Within the Firm, Edwina is active in student mentorship and development and provides in-house training to staff.
Lesley France, CPA, joined Smythe in November 2015 when the Firm expanded its practice to Nanaimo. She specializes in providing accounting, assurance and tax advisory services to privately-owned companies and not-for-profit organizations. Within the Firm, Lesley is active in staff development, mentoring and coordinating wellness and team building events.
Jeremy Heppenstall, CPA, joined the Firm in 2015 and specializes mainly in providing assurance, advisory and tax services to private companies and owner-managed businesses in the real estate, technology and manufacturing sectors. Within the Firm, Jeremy is active in staff development, coaching and providing in-house training to staff.
Bryan Hong, CPA, joined the Firm’s assurance group in 2014 and obtained his CPA designation in June 2017. Shortly after obtaining his designation, Bryan joined the Firm’s tax team and now provides Canadian tax compliance and planning services to a variety of private and owner-managed companies.
Michelle Leung, CPA, joined Smythe in 2015 and is primarily focused on providing accounting, assurance and advisory services to public and private companies in the mining and technology sectors. Within the Firm, Michelle is active in campus recruiting and student mentoring and development.
Alanna Mann, CPA, joined Smythe’s Nanaimo team in 2015 and has worked in public practice for six years. She is primarily focused on providing assurance, accounting and tax services to clients in the retail, construction and logging industries. In addition, she has recently started working with Smythe’s Advisory team, assisting with business valuations relating to business sales and acquisitions, matrimonial disputes and succession planning.
Mitesh Parekh, CPA, joined Smythe in September 2014 and obtained his CPA designation in 2018. His primary focus at the Firm is working with private companies, mainly in the real estate and construction industry. He is also active in campus recruitment, student mentoring and takes part marking CFE practice cases for students going through the PEP program.
Mitchell Peterson, CPA, joined the Firm in 2015 and is primarily focused on providing accounting, assurance and advisory services to public and private companies in a variety of sectors, including mining, manufacturing, technology and pension plans.
Natalia Zakrjevskaia, CPA, CGA, joined Smythe in 2016 when the Firm expanded its practice to Langley. Natalia has 13 years of public practice experience and specializes in providing accounting, assurance and tax advisory services to privately-owned companies across a variety of industries.
