Edmund Chow

Edmund specializes in tax compliance and planning for private companies and owner-managers in various industries. He enjoys working closely with his clients by implementing tax strategies suited for their needs.

Edmund graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and finance. He obtained his CPA designation in 2008. Prior to joining Smythe, Edmund worked at a Big 4 firm for close to 8 years working on succession planning, estate freezes, and business reorganizations. He also gained industry experience with a major international bank as an internal corporate tax advisor. His passion for learning brought him back to public practice where he continues to gain new knowledge and work with other great professionals.

Edmund has written articles published in the CPABC in Focus magazine including “New Legislation on the Small Business Deduction – Is This the End of Claiming Multiple SBD?” in November/December 2016 and “Understanding the proposed EIFEL rules” in May 2023.

Outside of work, he loves to travel and explore new culinary experiences. He leads an active lifestyle through his love for basketball, running, and cycling.
